Anamnesa: A medical term derived from "anamnesis". It refers to a structured and comprehensive account of past and present illnesses and symptoms as described by the patient. It's a vital aspect of patient diagnosis.
API (Application Programming Interface): A set of rules that allows different software entities to communicate with each other.
APK: The file format used by the Android operating system for the installation of mobile apps and middleware.
B2B (Business to Business): Transactions or interactions that occur between two companies.
B2C (Business to Consumer): Transactions or interactions that occur between companies and individuals.
EMR (Electronic Medical Record): A digital version of the traditional paper-based medical record for an individual. An EMR contains the patient's medical and treatment history from one practice.
Faskes (Fasilitas Kesehatan): Translated to "Healthcare Facility" in English. It pertains to places, institutions, buildings, or agencies where health services are provided, such as hospitals, clinics, and medical centers.
LIS (Laboratory Information System): A computer software that processes, stores, and manages data from all stages of medical processes and tests. It's widely used to track dynamic information, including patient check-in, order entry, specimen processing, result entry, and patient demographics.
MCU (Medical Check-Up): A thorough and comprehensive medical examination which typically includes several tests based on the medical institution's standard procedures or specific requirements set by an employer.
Mobile MedQCare: The mobile application of the MedQCare system for patients, providing users with access on-the-go as the personal healthcare companion app.
Patient Queue: A systematized waiting list of patients scheduled to see the doctor or undergo a medical test or procedure.
PPN (Pajak Pertambahan Nilai): Translated as "Value Added Tax (VAT)". It's a consumption tax placed on a product at each production or distribution stage whenever value is added.
Role: Refers to the user's designation within the MedQCare system. It determines the permissions and access level a user has, shaping their interactions within the software.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): A policy-neutral access-control mechanism defined around roles and privileges. A user has access only to the information they need to perform their role.
Rujukan (Referral): A process or act where a primary healthcare provider formally advises or directs a patient to consult another healthcare professional, especially a specialist, for further diagnosis or treatment.
SaaS (Software as a Service): A cloud-based service where instead of downloading software on your desktop PC or business network to run and update, you instead access an application via an internet browser. The applications are hosted by a third-party provider and made available to users over the Internet.
SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan): A method of documentation employed by healthcare providers to comprehensively note down a patient's information. It breaks down into:
Subjective: What the patient describes regarding their symptoms or conditions.
Objective: Observations made by the healthcare professional.
Assessment: A concise statement of the problem.
Plan: The strategy for tackling the patient's issue.
Swab Test: A medical testing method where samples are collected using a swab, typically from the nose or throat. This method has gained prominence due to its usage in COVID-19 testing.
Treatment: Medical care given to a patient for an illness or injury.
UI (User Interface): The space where interactions between humans and machines occur.
UX (User Experience): Refers to a person's emotions and attitudes about using a particular product, system, or service.
